Duties & Responsibilities
- The Operation Supervisor is responsible for the management of the assigned staff, including, implementing, and sustaining programming, and presentation as required. Provides supervision to Career Coaches in the areas of Outreach/Recruitment, Assessment/Eligibility, work readiness skills and the development of basic remedial skills in math and reading to program for participants.
- Coaches, mentors and develops direct reports; ensuring the department is able to respond to current and future business opportunities and challenges.
- Support and provide individual training to staff. Complete training as required.
- Provide technical assistance and guidance to direct reports with regard to quality services, innovative practices, policy and procedure.
- Assist program Career Coaches in reaching goals established in Contract or Statement of Work.
- Assessment/Eligibility of participants per project plan.
- Maintain case records detailing service needs and activities/arrangements for their fulfillment, according to data-management procedures established by program management and the funding sources.
- Deliver skills training in software applications, work readiness skills and the development of basic remedial skills in math and reading. Develop presentation and facilitation skills to engage staff in meeting program goals.
- Deliver program curriculum/objectives in classroom/simulated workplace environment.
- Identify and recruit target population of clients.
Qualifications
- Related Bachelor's degree, from an accredited College or University required.
- Past experience working with the targeted population. 4+ years relevant work experience. Two to three years in leadership or management role with significant supervisory duties and responsibilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; organizational and time management skills. Demonstrated proficient in using Microsoft Office applications or online database tracking systems. Demonstrated ability to work with adults and older youth in varied capacities and settings to help them learn and grow.
- Must have appropriate and valid state driver's license and be able to meet requirements for Eckerd's Auto Insurance and be able to drive for business purposes.
- Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.

Eckerd Connects provides Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) services through contracts with the U.S. Department of Labor and local workforce boards, partnerships, and strategies to provide and create a career pathway for youth, adults, and dislocated workers. Training services include occupational skills training, customized training, on-the-job training, incumbent worker training, and transitional employment opportunities. We provide youth with development, academic instruction, career & technical education, and access to the 14 WIOA Youth Elements. We establish and develop relationships and networks with large and small employers and their intermediaries as well as develop, convene, or implement industry or sector partnerships.
