Salary Range: $60,000 to $65,000
Duties & Responsibilities
The Education Administrator will coordinate and lead the educational program at our Yanceyville NC Residential Programs, ensuring the academic success of each student while fostering professional growth for staff and will champion a culture of continuous improvement focused on student outcomes and program effectiveness.
- Educational Leadership: Develop, implement, and oversee facility-based policies and procedures for the educational program, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Curriculum and Instruction: Coordinate thematic integration of subject matter, supervise curriculum implementation, and monitor instructional programs to foster positive learning environments.
- Assessment: Develop and implement systems to track student performance and use data to drive program improvement.
- Communication: Foster effective communication and collaboration between departments, students, parents, staff, and community stakeholders.
- Quality Improvement: Lead the implementation of continuous improvement processes focused on student performance.
- Resources and Support: Assist with development and management of educational budgets, instructional resources, and a secure student record-keeping system.
- Staff Development: Provide mentoring, coaching, and professional development opportunities for education staff.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Education Leadership or Administration, Bachelor's degree in Education (Elementary, Secondary, Special Education, Curriculum and Instruction, or Counseling). NC Standard Professional II teaching license required, highly qualified in a middle or high school core subject area, and preferably in Special Education.
- 3-5 years of successful teaching experience with middle or high school students, including those with at-risk status, learning difficulties, or special education needs. 5 years' experience in teaching and/or supervising teachers preferred.
- Strong supervisory, analytical, communication (verbal and written), collaborative, resourceful, flexible, creative, interpersonal, problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, planning, and critical judgment skills. Experience with basic skills instruction, learning/media centers,
- experiential and special education, and supervision. Proficiency in instructional technology software and equipment.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional standards and personal development. Successful completion of background screening, including criminal background check, drug screening, and compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.

About our Residential Academy:
Eckerd Connects' Short-Term Juvenile Justice Residential program is a complete rehabilitative experience delivered in 4 to 6 months to 40 adjudicated male youth, ages 13 to 17, referred by the North Carolina Department of Public Safety Division of Juvenile Justice. This residential treatment concept combines promising and evidence-based practices with a strong family transition component and signifies a public-private partnership with the Division of Juvenile Justice which has produced an innovative shift in the way youth are served in North Carolina's juvenile justice system. Intensive, short-term services include individualized treatment and academic plans that combine formal and experiential education, community service, behavioral health, and family counseling in a non-punitive environment designed to address the youth's behavioral challenges through a strength-based approach. Youth also receive accredited education on-site and work together in small group settings with assigned counselors.
