Ready to make an impact where precision meets purpose? EECU is looking for an Accounting Payroll Deduction Specialist to join our accounting team.
As an Accounting Payroll Deduction Specialist, some of the main responsibilities are:
- Manage the HSA payroll process including posting files
- Research discrepancies
- Handle corrections and collaborating with the third-party employers
- Process payroll deduction deposits and remit authorization forms to appropriate companies
- Maintain and balance HSA payroll spreadsheet and payroll deduction general ledger daily
- Maintain and reconcile assigned sensitive general ledger accounts
- Reconcile EECU settlement account daily
- Process EECU payroll deduction general ledger entries and accruals
- Balance and post Zelle settlements while researching and resolving Zelle-related issues
- Responsible for compliance of all Federal and State rules and regulations pertaining but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Bribery Act and NCUA Privacy Regulations. Required to attend initial and ongoing annual Bank Secrecy Act training.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma and some college preferred.
- General accounting knowledge experience.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain and solve problems with the membership and outside sponsor companies and internal departments.
- Highly detailed oriented and problem-solving skills
- Regular attendance is an essential function of this position
Preferred Qualifications / Experience:
- Experience in Excel, Word, and Ten Key by touch
- Ability to project a professional image with sponsor employee groups and/or their management to discuss the Payroll program.
- Experience in setting up and processing payroll deductions
- Ability to work with time constraints, deadlines and change of workflow
- Capable of performing in-depth research of general ledgers
- Detailed knowledge of payroll deductions
