We are seeking a Breast Oncology APN to join our multidisciplinary Hematology Oncology Physicians of Englewood (HOPE) in New Jersey. This role supports comprehensive care across the continuum—from high‑risk assessment and diagnostic workup to treatment, survivorship, and long‑term follow‑up. The ideal candidate brings clinical expertise, patient‑centered communication, and a commitment to evidence‑based oncology practice.

 

About the Opportunity

 

  • The team includes 8 providers, 8 APNs, and 52 ancillary staff.
  • You will provide dedicated support across 3 oncology floors within the hospital. 
  • Schedule - Mon-Fri - 8:00A - 4:00. No nights, No On-Call.

 

What your day will look like

 

  • Determines and prioritizes patient care needs. Diagnoses are determined and prioritized from the assessment data using appropriate complex clinical reasoning.
  • Performs or implements interventions and treatments with knowledge of health care research findings and reflecting a scientific basis and theory.
  • Order, perform and interpret laboratory tests. The Nurse Practitioner will order and interpret any tests necessary to the medical evaluation.  Examples include CBC, serum chemistry, tumor markers, chest x-ray, cat scans, nuclear scans, MRI, venous Doppler studies, EKG and Echo at appropriate oncology disease specific treatment interval as defined by NCCN guidelines.
  • Select and performs tests and therapeutic procedures for the patient as necessary, adhering to scope of practice guidelines and program area's curriculum.
  • Prescribe Drugs: The Nurse Practitioner will prescribe drugs as necessary as appropriate for the Hematology/Oncology office in accordance with state and federal law.
  • Provide preventive care and diagnosis and treatment of episodic, short-term and stable chronic hematologic/oncologic problems.
  • Identifies educational needs of patients and families and collaborates with other members of the multidisciplinary patient care team to develop programs and materials for team members, patient/family and the community.
  • Complete patient care milestones and education such as Chemo talks, Survivorship and Geriatric Assessment as defined by disease specific NCCN guidelines.

 

 Qualifications

 

  • Current New Jersey Professional Nurse License
  • Current Nurse Practitioner License - Board Certification required
  • ONS Chemo/Bio Certification within 3 months of hire required
  • Master's Degree in Nursing required
  • Current CDS & DEA required
  • BLS and ACLS required
  • 3-5 year's recent clinical experience in area of expertise preferred
  • Previous leadership/teaching experience preferred

Englewood Health offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, comprehensive benefits package, and other incentive programs for our employees. The salary shown reflects the minimum compensation; actual compensation considers specialty, relevant experience and training.

Minimum range: $55.00 - $75.00 per hour
