Job Summary:
Englewood Hospital is seeking an experienced Endoscopy Technician to support our physicians and nurses in delivering exceptional gastrointestinal care. The Endoscopy Technician assists the team in the scrub role during endoscopy procedures and assists in the preparation of the endoscopy suite area between cases. Sets up equipment for and assists physician and RN with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including, but not limited to, Upper Endoscopy, Colonoscopy and Ultrasound FNA and Pulmonary procedures such as robotic bronchoscopies. Responsible for the preparation and maintenance of equipment, instrumentation and supplies as well as scope reprocessing.
As a vital member of our endoscopy team, the ideal candidate plays a hands-on role in preparing procedure rooms, assisting during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and comfort for our patients. Hours: 8am-6pm flex (10hr shifts) - On call weekend rotations approx. 8-10 times per year required
Job Essentials:
- A minimum of two (2) years of endoscopy tech experience in a Hospital or Ambulatory Surgery Center setting required
- Knowledge of endoscopy equipment, aseptic technique, and high-level disinfection methods required
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills and rapport in all interactions
- Strong service excellence skills and must be a team player
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Licenses, Registrations & Certifications:
- BLS Certification (issued by AHA or ARC)
