Job Summary:
The main function of the Principal Trainer is to develop and maintain Epic application curriculum, build and maintain the Master Train environment, manage credentialed trainers when applicable, and conduct end user training for the Epic Electronic Health Record across Englewood Hospital Medical Center. A Principle Trainer (PT) is responsible for creating and often delivering in-classroom training of Epic and operational workflows to end users. They will also provide Command Center and go-live and post go-live support to the units/departments/practices. A key responsibility will be to work collaboratively with the analyst and Operations team, and the Training Manager, in the development and execution of classroom training of EHR end-users, and work closely with the LMS team creating and maintaining curriculum materials in the LMS.

Trainers will complete certification courses in a prescribed timeframe to successfully attain Epic certification of assigned application(s) and Training Environment Development (TED).

Job Essentials:

  • Experience in a teaching/training environment preferred.
  • Previous training or electronic medical record experience preferred.
  • Candidate must have moderate computer skills and a working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Demonstrated organizational, presentation and communication skills necessary.


Education Requirements:
Associates Degree required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
