Job Summary:

Englewood Health seeks a Medical Assistant/Receptionist to play a key role in creating an experience for our patients when they walk through the door. In this dynamic role, the Medical Assistant/Receptionist will support both clinical and administrative operations by assisting with patient registration, collecting and maintaining accurate patient information, coordinating patient flow and preparing patients for their visits in a high-volume, fast-paced Radiation Oncology department. This position will work closely with providers and team members to ensure efficient daily operations while delivering patient centered services. This opportunity is ideal for a compassionate, patient-focused, organized individual, who can effectively manage multiple responsibilities and thrives in a collaborative environment.

Job Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience as a medical assistant required
  • Flexible to work variable weekdays 
  • Ability to manage patient flow effectively and take vital signs
  • Assisting in variety of treatments and medications as directed
  • Recording test results and maintaining medical records
  • Preparing exam room with supplies and equipment for treatments
  • Knowledge of insurance verification, prior authorization process and patient registration procedures 
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise professionalism when handling sensitive patient information
  • Experience working with EPIC and/or other electronic medical record systems 

 

Education:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent or five (5) years of Medical Assistant required
  • Completion of an accredited program for Medical Assistants

 

Certifications:

  • Current BLS/CPR Certification (issued by AHA or ARC)
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)/Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
  • I.V. Certification preferred

 

Englewood Health job postings provide a minimum rate to comply with New Jersey Law. The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc. The minimum rate does not include bonuses/incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation. In addition to the minimum rate, eligible employees may receive comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and other wellness resources.
Minimum rate: $18/hour
