Job Summary:
Englewood Health is seeking a full-time NURSE PRACTITIONER (APRN) or PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT (PA) to join a very enthusiastic team in the Department of Surgical Oncology and Hepatobiliary Surgery. The ideal candidate would excel in communication, interpersonal skills, precise documentation, and clinical expertise in the management of all phases of care for the surgical oncology or hepatobiliary patient. The midlevel provider will plan, direct and coordinate key operations of the department and will work hand-in-hand with the Physicians, Medical Assistants and Scheduling Coordinators to provide the best outcomes for patients. They will assist with managing the staff and workflow to contribute to the optimal performance of the team. The Department of Surgical Oncology at Englewood Health currently performs a wide range of surgical oncology and hepatobiliary cases per year, and is experiencing steady growth. The APN or PA functions in a medical support role to the physician in the provision of medical care, and works under the direction, supervision and responsibility of a physician. Appointment of APN's and PA's and the duties and responsibility approved for each appointee are governed by the pertinent sections of the Public Health Law; the Education Law; the Official Compilation of Codes, Rules, Regulations of State of New Jersey; Hospital and Medical Staff Bylaws; and policies, rules, regulations of the Department of Surgery. Hours: 8:00 A - 4:00 P Job Essentials:
- 1-2 years of experience in surgery and/or surgical oncology is preferred
- For PAs: Bachelor's Required, Master's Degree Preferred
- For NPs: Master's Degree Required
- If Nurse Practitioner (APRN): Current NJ State Advanced Practice Nurse License, current BLS and ACLS, current CDS and DEA licenses
- If Physician Assistant (PA): Current NJ PA license and certification by NCCPA, current BLS and ACLS, current CDS and DEA licenses
