Full-Time | Bergen County, NJ | 10 Minutes from NYC

 

Englewood Health is seeking a full-time, experienced, board certified, Physician Assistant (PA) to join our high-performing Emergency Department treating 60,000+ patients/year in a modern, fully equipped, private 40-room ED. About the Opportunity

  • Work in both Main ED and Fast Track 
  • CT imaging suite, new ultrasound equipment, GlideScopes, system-wide EPIC EMR
  • Support services include a 24/7 interventional catheterization lab, stroke neurology and neurosurgical coverage, and in-house pediatric hospitalist and critical care intensivist.
  • Shifts: 7a–7p, 11a–11p, 7p–7a
    • 2 overnight shifts per 6-week block (occasionally 3)
    • 6 weekend shifts per 6-week block
    • 2 on‑call days per 6-week block

What your day will look like 

In the Main ED

  • Evaluate and treat moderate‑ to high‑acuity patients presenting with diverse medical and trauma-related conditions.
  • Prioritize clinical decision‑making in a dynamic environment where rapid assessment is essential.
  • Coordinate closely with attending physicians for complex cases requiring advanced diagnostics or interventions.
  • Participate in resuscitation efforts and acute care management as part of an interdisciplinary team.

In Fast Track

  • Manage lower‑acuity, high‑throughput cases with a focus on efficiency and patient satisfaction.
  • Independently diagnose and treat common urgent conditions such as minor injuries, infections, sprains, simple lacerations, and rashes.
  • Facilitate rapid discharge planning while maintaining thorough clinical evaluation and documentation.
  • Collaborate with nursing and ancillary services to keep patient flow smooth during high‑volume periods.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum two (2) years' ED experience
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with a Master of Science
  • Active NJ PA License required
  • NCCPA Certification required
  • DEA & NJ CDS registrations
  • AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, & PALS certifications

Englewood Health offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, comprehensive benefits package, and other incentive programs for our employees. The salary shown reflects the minimum compensation; actual compensation considers specialty, relevant experience and training.

 

Minimum compensation: $130,000 Annually
