Job Summary:
The Leslie Simon Breast Care and Cytodiagnosis Center at Englewood Health is seeking a Fellowship-Trained Breast Surgical Oncologist to join our expanding multidisciplinary Breast Surgery Program, part of the Lefcourt Family Cancer Treatment & Wellness Center.
We are looking for a collaborative, team-oriented surgeon who is enthusiastic about building and growing community-based breast practices in Jersey City and Fair Lawn, with additional clinic sessions in Englewood. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive care for both benign and malignant breast disease, take an active role in community outreach—including developing relationships with primary care physicians and gynecologists—and contribute to the program's ongoing growth and innovation.
We strongly prefer candidates certified by the American Society of Breast Surgeons (ASBrS) in breast ultrasound and ultrasound-guided core biopsy, to support the ability to perform office-based image-guided procedures in our satellite locations. The position includes operative responsibilities at Englewood Hospital and opportunities for clinical research, clinical trial participation, and academic engagement, including involvement in our SSO-accredited Breast Surgery Fellowship Program.
About Our Program Our NAPBC-accredited Breast Center delivers comprehensive, patient-centered care through an integrated team of breast imaging specialists, pathologists, radiation and medical oncologists, genetic counselors, and survivorship experts. The Center is recognized for its personalized patient experience, rapid diagnostic pathways, and robust research and education programs.
Job Essentials:
- Provide high-quality surgical and clinical care for benign and malignant breast disease.
- Lead practice development and patient outreach in Fair Lawn and Jersey City, with additional clinic days in Englewood.
- Build and maintain relationships with referring PCPs and OB/GYNs.
- Perform office-based ultrasound-guided core biopsies (ASBrS certification required).
- Participate in tumor boards, multidisciplinary care coordination, and clinical research.
- Contribute to teaching and mentorship within the Englewood Health–SSO Accredited Breast Surgery Fellowship.
Education Requirements:
- MD or DO with completion of an accredited general surgery residency.
License/Certification/Registry:
- Fellowship-trained in Breast Surgical Oncology.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Surgery.
- Eligible for New Jersey medical licensure and hospital privileges at Englewood Health.
- ASBrS certification in ultrasound-guided core biopsy strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated teamwork, leadership, and strong communication skills.
