Job Summary:
The Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for the management and coordination of the physician's clinic and surgery schedule. Previous surgery scheduling experience a plus, especially in Urology. The ideal candidate manages the insurance authorization process, frequently calling insurance companies to acquire pre-authorizations for procedures. Must have excellent customer service skills along with strong critical thinking and analytical skills for problem solving. Must demonstrate professionalism at all times and have strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills. Working as a team member, with the ability to build good relationships with hospital staff inside and outside the department, is essential. Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high phone and patient volume environment. Must be detail oriented, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure. Able to use effective time management to set priorities. Job Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of secretarial or administrative experience in a fast-paced environment required
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • Proficiency in EMR (Epic) and Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and Word, with the ability to effectively manage correspondence, scheduling, and documentation
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and maintain accuracy in a high-volume office setting
  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills preferred

Education Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate's Degree preferred

The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc. The minimum rate does not include bonuses/incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation. In addition to the minimum rate, eligible employees may receive comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and other wellness resources.
