Enterprise Products Partners L.P. is one of the largest publicly traded partnerships and a leading North American provider of midstream energy services to producers and consumers of natural gas, NGLs, crude oil, refined products and petrochemicals. Our services include: natural gas gathering, treating, processing, transportation and storage; NGL transportation, fractionation, storage and import and export terminals; crude oil gathering, transportation, storage and terminals; petrochemical and refined products transportation, storage and terminals; and a marine transportation business that operates primarily on the United States inland and Intracoastal Waterway systems. The partnership's assets include approximately 50,000 miles of pipelines; 260 million barrels of storage capacity for NGLs, crude oil, refined products and petrochemicals; and 14 billion cubic feet of natural gas storage capacity.
The Shipyard Marine Maintenance Superintendent will be responsible for all activities related to scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repairs to all facility equipment.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop a work scope and cost estimate on necessary repairs.
- Coordinate the order of materials and contract services required to execute planned and unplanned jobs.
- Coordinate the development of all required (regulatory, company and general practice) routine and preventative maintenance procedures and schedules.
- Effectively lead personnel involved in repairs of facility equipment, and understand typical times needed for repairs to the various parts of that equipment.
- Assist in preparing and implementing yearly expenses and capital budgets.
- Attend all scheduled maintenance/safety training and assist with training of new employees as needed.
- Ensure that all employees are trained on and are always following Enterprise policies and procedures.
- Track time and materials specific to jobs and create necessary invoicing.
- Interact with third party customers as well as interdepartmental engineers on project details, completion dates, vendor scheduling, and USCG inspections.
- Present weekly job progress reports, overhead expenditures, and develop estimates for monthly financial expenditures.
- Develop and maintain dry dock schedules.
- Manage a third-party labor force based on work schedule demands.
- Work with regulatory agencies such as USCG and ABS on scheduling of inspections and expectations of repairs.
Requirements
The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
- A minimum of a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
- An associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent training in mechanical and electrical equipment repair is preferred.
- Experience with coordinating work including ordering supplies/materials, scheduling contractors, and producing job plans is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications such as: Excel, Word, and Outlook are required.
- Light lifting, squatting, and climbing in an industrial setting is required.
- The ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with other individuals, teams, customers, and stakeholders of the business, at various levels of the organization, in a business like and professional manner is required.
- The ability to modify communication style to influence, persuade, negotiate, and engage all parties according to the audience and circumstance is required.
- The ability to take the initiative and be proactive in addressing issues is required.
- Willingness to learn Enterprise Products specific business systems and/or new tools is required.
- The ability to assume responsibility, be flexible, perform duties, and handle multiple tasks under potentially stressful and/or hazardous conditions is required.
- The ability to quickly and efficiently complete tasks is required.
- Broad knowledge of administrative operating procedures to effectively comply with company policies and regulatory requirements is preferred.
- The ability to demonstrate conscientiousness, dependability, and commitment to the role, team, and company.
- Must satisfactorily pass background and drug screens.
