Position OverviewThe Senior Account Executive, based in New York, NY, plays a pivotal role within the Complex Solutions Group. This strategic client advisor is responsible for managing, retaining, and expanding a diverse portfolio of commercial lines accounts. The position requires deep expertise in risk management, insurance program design, and client stewardship. In addition to leading client engagements, the Senior Account Executive mentors other Account Executives and supports business development initiatives, all while maintaining operational excellence and ensuring compliance.
Key Responsibilities Client Relationship Management- Lead all aspects of client relationship management, including retention strategies and the effective delivery of EPIC resources.
- Coordinate international insurance placements and services by leveraging EPIC's global broker network.
- Translate complex insurance concepts into clear, actionable insights for clients.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with clients, underwriters, and internal teams.
- Proactively address client issues to deliver a consistently high level of service.
- Perform coverage analysis, contract reviews, and provide tailored insurance program recommendations.
- Benchmark and present quotes, including strategic enhancements to insurance programs.
- Negotiate premium and commission rates to secure the most advantageous terms for clients.
- Oversee policy administration, including audits, endorsements, and due diligence throughout M&A activities.
- Drive organic growth through cross-selling and account rounding initiatives.
- Support producers with Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and presentations.
- Lead presentations and participate in meetings with clients.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of deliverables across all assigned accounts.
- Supervise administrative functions delegated to Account Managers and Assistants.
- Mentor junior Account Executives and contribute to their professional development.
- Provide support to junior Account Executives as needed.
- Minimum of 10 years' client service experience within the insurance industry.
- Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and analytical skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance lines.
- Experience managing international accounts is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects across offices and meet deadlines independently.
- Experience using Sagitta and ImageRight is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Valid Property & Casualty Broker's License(s).
- Additional professional designations such as CPCU or ARM are considered favorably.
COMPENSATION:
The national average salary for this role is $175 000.00 - $200 000.00 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. The base pay offered will be determined based on your experience, skills, training, certifications and education, while also considering internal equity and market data.
