Description

Develops, maintains, and supports computer programs and processes in the server and database environments based on specs provided by users, business liaison, and/or lead tech.  Adheres to procedures governing computer change control.  Adheres to procedures governing computer naming conventions.  Provides 24x7 technical support for assigned applications.  Successfully completes in-house and external training as requested by management.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Application Programming Services:

1. Executes testing of computer program changes in accordance with direction of management and project team.

2. Researches and trouble-shoots for problems related to computer programs and processes in the production and testing environments.

3. Timely completion of in-house and external training assignments as requested by management.

4. Timely completion of objectives set forth by management and project teams.

5. Travel as necessary for training, participation in user conferences, special projects, business resumption, etc.

6. Administers support of all technical aspects of assigned application(s).

7. Adheres to procedures governing computer program change control and computer program naming conventions.

8. Independently develops, maintains, and supports computer programs and processes in the server and database environments based on specs provided by users, business liaison, and supervisor or lead tech.

9. Develops documentation for computer programs and processes in accordance with standards of department and organization.

10. Develops knowledge of the non-technical, business-related aspects of assigned application(s)through assignments and collaboration with colleagues.  .

11. Contributes to the development of various project management documents (eg. task lists, testing plans, etc.)

12. Provides 24x7 technical support in accordance with standards of department and organization. 

 

Bona Fide Occupational Qualifications

1. High school diploma or equivalent required.  Associates' or Bachelor's degree in information systems or related field preferred.

2. Experience in information systems or a related field a plus.  Experience in banking industry a plus.

3. Programming skills required, with the expectation that knowledge and expertise will grow on the job for the following skills:  SQL query development; procedural programming; .Net programming with both ASP.net and C# using Visual Studio; IIS setup; use of Umbraco webcontent management system; GIT source control; Java; JQuery; JSON; and Ajax.

4. Training or certification in information systems or related field preferred.

5. Travel as necessary for training, participation in user conferences, special projects, business resumption, etc.

6. May be eligible for Telecommuting.
