The Area Recruiter is a key team member responsible for managing and executing the recruitment strategy for drivers, attendants, and other critical staff across multiple locations within an operational area. This role requires proactive engagement with leadership, internal stakeholders, and the community to ensure a robust and efficient talent pipeline through both traditional and innovative recruiting strategies.
Major Responsibilities
Candidate Sourcing and Development:
- Proactively build and maintain diverse pools of candidates for open positions using various sourcing methods, including online platforms, community outreach, and in-person networking.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to create a strong brand presence within the community to attract top talent.
- Stay current with industry trends and identify new sourcing opportunities to ensure continuous improvement in the recruitment process.
Recruitment Strategy and Optimization:
- Ensure all recruiting strategies are tailored and optimized for the area, leveraging automated talent acquisition tools and local market insights.
- Partner with internal teams to develop and implement strategic recruiting initiatives that align with business needs and hiring goals.
- Analyze recruitment metrics and reports to identify trends, assess the effectiveness of sourcing strategies, and adjust as necessary.
Relationship Building and Community Engagement:
- Cultivate relationships with local community leaders, schools, and other potential sources of talent to build a strong network and pipeline.
- Represent the company at job fairs, trade shows, and community events, showcasing the company culture and career opportunities.
- Engage with customers and stakeholders to develop partnerships that enhance the recruitment process.
Reporting and Compliance:
- Prepare and submit recruiting reports to management, highlighting metrics such as candidate flow, source effectiveness, and hiring timelines.
- Ensure all recruiting activities follow company policies, federal and state regulations, and industry standards.
Collaboration and Cross-Functional Support:
- Partner with candidate experience teams, training teams, and location managers to ensure a seamless transition from candidate sourcing to onboarding.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop targeted recruiting campaigns and promotional materials.
Minimum Education or Certifications Required
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Management, Communications, or a related field preferred or equivalent work experience.
Minimum Experience or Skills Required
- 2 years of relevant recruiting experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, with an emphasis on relationship building.
- Experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to develop creative solutions for recruitment challenges and improve processes.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and professional judgment.
