Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Location Safety Manager II to lead safety programs at our Greenwich, CT location. In this critical role, you'll ensure regulatory compliance, drive safety initiatives, and foster a safety-first culture across the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all local safety and compliance activities in line with federal, state, and local regulations.

  • Oversee driver hiring and onboarding compliance (drug testing, MVR checks, DOT physicals, etc.).

  • Manage delivery of training programs and ensure trainers meet company standards.

  • Investigate safety incidents and implement corrective actions using root cause analysis (e.g., 5-Why's).

  • Monitor telematics data and safety dashboards to guide coaching and performance improvement.

  • Coordinate and lead safety meetings, audits, and employee safety programs.

  • Maintain and audit safety documentation in internal systems (e.g., DMO).

  • Collaborate with operations to identify and address safety hazards.

  • Support cost-effective safety planning and help manage training-related budgets.

  • Drive continuous improvement and safety engagement through BeSafe leadership activities.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant safety experience OR a college degree with related experience.

  • OSHA 10-Hour training and additional safety certifications preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of FMCSA, DOT, and other safety regulations.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Strong interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills.

  • Ability to analyze data and execute strategic safety plans.

  • Valid driver's license required.
