About the Position
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant General Manager (AGM) to oversee all transportation operations. In this role, you will be responsible for dispatching, monitoring fleet performance, managing personnel, and ensuring operational efficiency. Your leadership will directly impact service quality, compliance, and overall performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily transit operations, including dispatching and monitoring vehicle performance.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to ensure all dispatched vehicles meet safety and operational standards.
  • Prepare and verify payroll for operations staff.
  • Develop and manage staffing plans for Road Supervisors, Dispatchers, Operators, and Service Personnel.
  • Partner with the Safety Manager to coordinate recruitment, selection, and training initiatives.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining procedural manuals for Dispatchers, Road Supervisors, Operators, and Service Personnel.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely collection, reporting, and reconciliation of fare box revenue.
  • Support annual budget preparation and cost management efforts.
  • Monitor and analyze operational performance, including on-time performance, missed runs, cost efficiency, customer feedback, accidents, complaint investigation, and vehicle maintenance data.
  • Provide coaching, recommend corrective actions, and implement disciplinary measures as needed to maintain a high-performing team.

Qualifications & Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation operations.
  • At least 3 years of management experience in a paratransit operation of comparable size.
  • Strong knowledge of paratransit operations, maintenance, and administrative processes.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
