Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add Technical Automation Project Manager located in Guadalajara, North Campus.

The Technical Automation Project Manager drive regional and site-specific activities on Growth and Productivity.

Align and support each BU ensure we are achieving goals on both. Enable sites with various aspects of Growth and Productivity as noted below:

What a typical day looks like:

  • Mappin manufacturing lines related to PCBA, Mechanicals, plastics segments to identify automation opportunities
  • Be able to analyze automation business needs from sites, customers to increase automation penetration for productivity goals
  • Drive and track automation projects with site to achieve productivity goals against time
  • Provide site guidance as Automation SME on project technical execution
  • Develop technical and financial feasibility analysis for automation project execution
  • Be able to create and define RFQ/SOW documents to quote with suppliers new integrations
  • Support Indirect Procurement team for Automation Integrators identification and evaluation for PSL/AVL supplier list
  • Develop, implement and track automation tools for automation procedures company processes focused on automation methodology continues improvement
  • Participate in bidding process with supplier for automation projects
  • Have the capability to independently or together with other engineering stakeholders identify root causes of failures in the manufacturing process in order to define the best technology.
  • High level participation in daily production activities and effective problem solving on daily issues
  • Get involved with local teams and operations to provide technical support for the implementation or development of any technology.
  • Work on the maturity of the technologies currently deployed.
  • Train local teams on Project management procedures, templates, and methodolofies
  • Able to quote and follow up automation integration: Simple, Custom or entire line for full processes
  • Work in collaboration with Project Manager to meet timeline with sites for execution and productivity goals
  • Knowledge in Project Management   
  • Execute FAT, SAT stages for project deliverables

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • Advance knowledge in Automation Project Management execution
  • Advance knowledge in PMI methodologies for new projects related to new company strategies and executions
  • Advance knowledge on SOW for automation project definition for: assembly equipment/lines, AMRs systems, cobot, WH technologies, vision inspections
  • Advance knowledge on tools templates for equipment qualifications, such as FAT, SAT, others
  • Knowledge Integrated Automated equipment for manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge in PCBA, Mechanical, Plastics, Enclosure business
  • Knowledge in manufacturing products related to Cloud and communications, Industrial, Lifestyle, consumer devices, health, power.
  • Finance knowledge for Business cases development for automation project financial feasibility
  • Experience integrating automation applications from design to delivery stage
  • Experience with industrial protocols like OPC, Profibus, Fieldbus, Devicenet, IO-link, Modbus, TCP/IP or similar.
  • Basic knowledge in design SW tools such as: SW, NX, CAD
  • Management of PM tool such as: Microsoft Project, Smartsheet
  • Knowledge in sensors brands and their selection according to application
  • Experience with suppliers for automation integration solution
  • Management of simulation tools for automation applications, such as: SW, Visual components, Flexsim, others
  • Experience in suppliers' management
  • Interpretation and establishment of KPI and Operational Metrics for automation devices.
  • Experience in manufacturing process for electronics devices and mechanical assemblies (e.g., dispensing, screw-fastening, welding, soldering, general knowledge in testing,  etc.)
  • Training in safety and ergonomics.
  • Experience in definition of preventive maintenance processes.
  • Fluent English, written and spoken.
