Job SummaryTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add an Equipment Maintenance Engineer located in Flex, Tijuana Campus.
Reporting to the Equipment Maintenance Manager, this role involves being responsible for repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as conveyor systems and production machines and equipment.
What a typical day looks like:
- Manage equipment for the installation of new projects.
- Asset management and equipment life cycle monitoring.
- Participate in the implementation of cross-functional teams (CFT) for new technologies and developments.
- Manage rigging service and execution according to timeline for equipment installation.
- Accountable for suppliers working on site for their equipment set up and cell fit- out.
- Follow up on the project until site buy off including SSYMA, process engineering and operations acceptance.
- Assists process technicians and engineers with the installation and removal of process equipment.
- Researches and implements corrective action reports and process tracking mechanisms.
- Records times and problems in equipment logs.
- Provides daily equipment functioning activity information.
- Disassembles instruments and equipment and inspects components for defects.
- May require travel to other Flex sites or vendor locations.
- Highest level may perform both software and hardware maintenance.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
• BA/BS degree
• Flexible working hours availability is required.
• Medical industry experience is preferable.
• Advanced/ Fluent conversational English is required.
• Good communications skills (weekly meeting attendance w/ internal and external clients)
• Strong knowledge in vision system.
• Experience working with robots such as EPSON, Staubli, etc.
• Experience working with servomotors and steppers.
• Solidworks knowledge.
• Experience in similar position in mechanical manufacturing environment.
• Experience in allocating work to a team of fitters.
• Experience in:
• Fitting new parts.
• Acknowledge of equipment breakdowns.
•Fixing faults on site or arranging for replacement machinery or equipment to be installed.
• Keeping production managers informed of progress.
• Organizing teams or unipersonal to make sure that 24-hour cover is available.
• Working on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic or computerized systems.
