Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Facilities Engineer located in Dallas, Texas.

Reporting to the Senior Facilities Manager, the Facilities Engineer role involves will apply engineering principles and techniques to optimize facility infrastructure and operations to meet organizational objectives while ensuring efficient and safe operations. This role will play a pivotal role in designing the manufacturing floor layout and overseeing the construction and upgrades to our manufacturing facility in Dallas, Texas.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Research facility products or equipment specifications and performance requirements to define designs which can be produced by existing manufacturing or processing facilities and methods. 

  • Research engineering proposals, process requirements, and related technical data pertaining to industrial facilities machinery and equipment design. 

  • Defines feasibility of designing new plant facilities equipment or modifying existing facilities considering costs, available space, time limitations, company planning and other technical and economic factors. 

  • Compiles and research facilities data to establish performance standards for newly designed or modified equipment; evaluates the performance of systems and equipment. 

  • Maintains complete equipment, building, and infrastructure documentation including up-to-date drawings, specifications, operating instructions, and maintenance records. 

  • Studies engineering and technical publications to keep abreast of technical changes and developments in industry. 

  • Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks. 

  • Guides facility improvement projects including overseeing the work of internal and external project teams while ensuring timely and successful completion of projects. 

  • Inspects and performs maintenance on assigned equipment and facilities as needed. 

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field is required. 

  • At least 4-6 years of hands-on facilities/maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment required. 

  • Previous experience in a production facility and familiarity of equipment, including Press Brakes, Punch Presses, Cranes, Forklifts, etc.
