Job SummaryOur Milan campus is an integral part of Flex Health Solutions. Here, a dedicated team of 200 engineers design and build medical devices for some of the world's largest pharmaceutical and medical technology companies. Our products can be found in pharmacies, hospitals, and healthcare clinics worldwide, showcasing the innovative solutions we help develop for our clients in the medical sector.
We are currently seeking a Hardware Development Senior Engineer to join our Milan team. This role is pivotal in driving our mission to build exceptional products and contribute to our ongoing growth.
What a typical day looks like:
- Develop and refine hardware architecture designs
- Prepare technical designs and detailed technical reports
- Conduct hardware prototyping, testing, debugging, and validation in laboratory environments
- Responsibility of the design, layout and library parts management of medical printed circuit boards
- Generate the complete documentation for PCB manufacturability, including gerber files, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and all supporting documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including firmware/software engineering and mechanical engineering, to define and execute design methodologies
- Participate in design reviews and brainstorming of new products
- Engage in meetings with international customers
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
- At least 3-4 years of relevant work experience
- MSc degree in Electronic Engineering or a related field
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English
- Proven experience in developing analog hardware designs, including schematic capture, component selection, and PCB design
- PCB design experience with a comprehensive knowledge of design requirements as it relates to electrical, mechanical and manufacturing requirements
- Expertise in prototyping, testing, debugging, and validating circuits
- Familiarity with schematic tools, preferably OrCAD Capture CIS
- Experience with Altium Designer
- Strong organizational skills, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
