Job Summary

We would like to continue the automation journey. With a focus on standard processes, dynamic expansion, and wider reach, we are looking for a new Material Flow Automation Manager

Summary:

For previous as for current FY26, deployment of smart, flexible and scalable automation solutions is one of main Flex Goal. Delivering them under standardized process we are positively impacting productivity savings.

In the Operational Excellence and Transformation department, focusing on internal material flow transport automation, we have had delivered over 40 pallet transport robots (AMRs) to improve Flex Standard Material Flow and support these goals.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Creation of a material flow process map: Work with the site.
  • Identify material transport processes that can be automated.
  • Visualization of material flow in the form of numbers, such as the number of transactions and physical parameterization of material to prresent volume: Work with the site.
  • Analysis of the physical layout of the factory to determine the best communication routes for potential transport automation. Work with the site.
  • Preliminary construction of the automation project: Work with the site and integrator.
  • Preliminary quotation of the automation concept: work with the integrator.
  • Construction of ROI for management approval – work with the site and executive management.
  • After implementation, control the ROI execution.
  • Control of the main automation KPIs, confirming that the automation works according to expectations
  • Execution of minimum criteria for existing factory processes, to make automation possible
  • Co-creation of the automation concept, searching for new technologies
  • Execution of agreed automation standard
  • Validation of additional functionalities designed specifically for site requirements and also of factory facility conditions that must be met to enable automation
  • Execution of IT security conditions in relation to access policies and data transfers to external systems

Experience/qualification we are looking to add to our team:

  • Knowledge of the AMR technology standard for different type of material flow that support physical material movment
  • Commercial understanding of contracts from hardware, software, and service perspectives.
  • Familiarity with Global Bussines Agreement and Mater Service Agrement construction for automation technology
  • Ability to build Scope Of Work
  • Knowledge of the Reqiest For Quotation, Return Of Invesmet, Capital Expenditure Request proces and construction
  • Understanding the scope and capabilities of standardized automation technology in material flow as potential of use
  • Understanding technical specifications to enable appropriate automation application and also technology limitations
  • At least 5 years relevant experience
  • Very good English knowledge
  • Eligibility to work in EU and travel WW
