Job SummaryTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Process Engineering Manager located in Flex PTP.
This role will be responsible for process-engineering capabilities focused on cost, quality and delivery improvements in order to support a manufacturing organization.
What a typical day looks like:
Understand the manufacturing process, technologies, techniques and the product
Define, Implement and evaluate proposed designs and processes for manufacturability.
Have the capability to independently or together with other engineering stakeholders identify root causes of failures in the manufacturing process
High level participation in daily production activities and effective problem solving on daily issues
Prepare justification, purchase and implement capital equipment for production.
Support and oversee new process equipment production.
Lead and manage the Process Engineering team to achieve operational, quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Root Cause Analysis methodologies.
Own manufacturing process capability, yield improvement, and defect reduction programs.
Develop and implement process validation plans including IQ, OQ, PQ, FAI, and Cpk studies.
Lead New Product Introduction (NPI), process qualification, and manufacturing readiness activities.
Drive automation and Industry 4.0 initiatives to improve productivity, quality, and labor efficiency.
Establish and monitor engineering KPIs, dashboards, and performance metrics.
Collaborate with Quality, Production, Supply Chain, Design Engineering, and Customers to resolve manufacturing issues.
Lead failure analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) activities for recurring production issues.
Ensure compliance with customer requirements, ISO standards, EHS regulations, and quality management systems.
Manage engineering budgets, capital equipment investments, and resource planning.
Lead technology transfer projects between manufacturing sites.
Support customer audits, quality system assessments, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Develop succession plans and provide coaching, mentoring, and technical development for engineering staff.
Identify manufacturing risks and implement mitigation plans to ensure business continuity.
Drive productivity improvements through line balancing, takt time optimization, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) enhancement.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
Minimum 8-10 years of manufacturing/process engineering experience, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
Strong experience in high-volume manufacturing environments.
Proven track record in yield improvement, cost reduction, and productivity enhancement projects.
Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple engineering projects simultaneously.
Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, DOE, PFMEA, FMEA, SPC, Control Plans, and Statistical Analysis.
Experience in New Product Introduction (NPI), process development, and manufacturing transfer activities.
Familiarity with automation systems, robotics, vision inspection systems, and Industry 4.0 technologies.
Experience with quality management systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and customer-specific quality requirements.
Strong project management skills with ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources.
Experience supporting customer audits and implementing corrective action programs.
Proficiency in data analytics and engineering tools such as Power BI, Minitab, ERP/MES systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent leadership, communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong problem-solving skills using structured methodologies such as 8D, A3, DMAIC, and Fishbone Analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Master's Degree or MBA is an added advantage.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.
PMP or equivalent project management certification is an advantage.
Experience in electronics, printer, medical device, semiconductor, or industrial manufacturing environments preferred.
