Job Summary

Summary:

The “Senior IT Engineer, Network Operations” will be based in Dongguan, reporting to IT Manager.

Primarily responsible for planning, operating, and optimizing the company's overall network architecture to ensure high availability and security of network systems. This role involves designing and implementing the network components of enterprise integrated solutions while optimizing network services to support business needs. The position focuses on maintaining network system stability and participating in the design, deployment, and configuration of network architecture.

Responsibilities:

  • Network Project Management: Manage and coordinate network‑related projects with precision, ensuring rational network design and efficient execution of solutions.
  • Network Architecture Planning: Participate in strategic planning of the company's overall IT architecture, with a focus on network architecture design and technology selection.
  • Network Solution Implementation: Define, design, implement, and support all network infrastructure and related application solutions.
  • Operations Procedure Development: Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the daily maintenance of network devices including routers, switches, and more.
  • Technical Knowledge Transfer: Ensure comprehensive internal knowledge sharing on new network technologies and newly implemented projects.
  • Network Monitoring & Incident Handling: Be proficient in managing and configuring devices from brands such as Cisco and Aruba. Establish robust network monitoring mechanisms, detect and resolve network failures in a timely manner, and properly handle network‑related incidents within the operations platform.
  • Internal & External Communication: Establish clear communication channels for network‑related issues and maintain smooth feedback mechanisms with customers, colleagues, and cross‑functional teams.
  • Service Level Assurance: Comply with network service level agreements (SLAs), ensure network performance meets business requirements, and conduct timely reviews with relevant stakeholders.
  • Data Security Assurance: Ensure proper backup and retention strategies for core network devices and security policies to minimize business impact during failures.
  • Troubleshooting & Optimization: Perform rapid network fault repairs, conduct root‑cause analysis, implement corrective and preventive measures, and continuously improve the network's mean time between failures (MTBF).
  • Security & Compliance Management: Ensure the network system strictly adheres to company security policies and industry compliance requirements
  • System Performance Enhancement: Proactively propose network hardware and software upgrades or optimization initiatives to enhance overall network performance and reliability.
  • Team Collaboration & Knowledge Base Development: Collaborate closely with the Global Network Team to establish and maintain a network knowledge base and provide training on new network technologies to internal team members.

Qualifications:

  • Work Experience: At least 7 years of experience in the electronics manufacturing industry in related fields (network or server). Familiar with the principles and processes of MES systems in electronic manufacturing.
  • Professional Skills: Demonstrates advanced technical expertise, along with basic people‑management and process‑management capabilities.
  • Business Understanding: Shows a strong understanding of how IT technologies support business operations.
  • Breadth of Knowledge: Possesses knowledge of various technologies and processes within relevant domains and can understand the connection between technical solutions and on‑site business operations.
  • Preferred Background: Prior IT operations & maintenance experience in foreign‑invested electronics manufacturing companies is a plus.
