Job SummaryTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Sr. Manufacturing Automation Technical Project Managerlocated in Flex Guadalajara, North.
Reporting to the Sr Director, Automation Engineering, Sr. Manufacturing Automation Technical Project Manager role involves leading and driving regional and site-specific activities on growth and productivity by deploy successfully automated lines. Align and support each Business Unit ensure we are achieving goals on both.
What a typical day looks like:
- Lead the planning and implementation of an automation projects, defining project scope, goals, and deliverables. Define project task, timelines and resource requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders (leadership, design and engineering, sales, marketing) to prioritize requirements for growth and productivity that achieve business goals.
- Develop financial models and conduct quantitative and qualitative market analysis to identify new initiative related to growth: ROI, Investment cost, scalable solutions etc.
- Define clear process requirements to automate process that allows achieve goals such as: ROI, Investment cost, scalable solutions etc.
- Search for potential customer or potential project, specific customer management and communication.
- Manage project budgets ensuring cost control within established limits.
- Collaborate with other functions to compliance with laws and regulations (Information Security, Finance, EHS, ESD, CE, UL, etc).
- Be a key spokesperson to advocate core product capabilities and potential opportunities. Effectively participate in promotion activities internally and with customers to represent various industry products, solutions, and value propositions.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
- BA/BS/MBA in Engineering electronics, mechanics, mechatronics or similar.
- Advanced experience as Project Management preferable with PMI Certificate (Project Management Institution)
- Strong Knowledge in Automation-Maintenance and Engineering, Technical Savvy system oriented: machines, processes and manufacturing.
- Previous experience working on evaluations, plans, internal strategies: result oriented, flexible, passionate, creative, hands-on, love to learn and continuously improve, objective, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ownership for team task, good team player, working under pressure & multi-tasking.
- GAP Analysis.
- Analysis (Tracking Systems) - Global Customer Communication
- Advanced English level (Cross-functional worldwide interactions)
- Finance knowledge (P&L- Balances Investments vs savings)
- Valid US Visa and passport.
- Desirable experience in an Industry similar to Electronics/Automotive (plastics, Metals, Food-Pharmaceutical Industry Health Reliability).
- Impacts the long-term (annual) direction and financial or operational success of the function and/or site. Approves and/or creates functional processes or technologies. Establishes and ensures effective achievement of functional strategic plans and objectives for the site. May have P&L responsibility for the function.
- Exercises wide latitude in determining objectives and approach to critical assignments. Provides direction on large/critical projects.
- Flexible working hours due to constant communication with global suppliers in different time zones
- Great communicator skills: verbally and written.
- Proficiency in engineering software is prior. (PLC, SolidWorks, Robot, etc).
- A similar TPM role with a minimum of 5 years of experience in:
- Responsible for development and deployment for complex automation project or automatic product.
- Project planning, schedule control, quality control and project management.
- Budget management: cost control: estimations, projections and implementations.
- System verification in the entire development process with good abilities of troubleshooting & high-quality awareness
- Data analysis and reporting.
- DFMEA, PFMEA, DOE, CPK, GR&R knowledge or related assistance tools is a plus.
- ISO9001, TS16949, EMS IPC-3 or any related standard and system knowledge is a plus.
