Job SummaryThe Sr. Specialist, Supply Chain Project will be based in Taiwan , reporting to Sr Director, Supply Chain Management.
Ensure NPI programs are launched on time and on budget. For sustaining business – ensure product cost competitiveness and continuity of supply are robust enough to ensure Flex Embedded Power can continue to deliver to customer expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Support/Drive competitive RFQ/NPI QBOM
- Work with R&D for RFQ/NPI products and support DTC opportunities; obtain specs/drawings to sourcing team to get new quotes and/or supplier selection
- Timely QBOM prices, T&C update and follow-up with sourcing team and GCM on new & existing quotes
- Enforce FPS segment PSL and GP PSL, non-SS or unique materials or customers appointed. Where required, include explanations from respective stakeholders i.e., R&D, sourcing or GCM
- QBOM sanity check – allocation, parts status(NRND,EOL, etc.), 2nd sources enforcement, SS rate, LLT parts.
- QBOM ownership, centralized QBOM control and management, single contact point
- Transfer finalized QBOM to sites NPI Purchasing for subsequent follow-up, especially Single/Sole, Unique and/or LLT parts for risk buy/buffer stocks
- QBOM maintenance(validation and trend analysis) with monthly/regular updates (T&C, design changes, customer changes, Forex etc) and support CPM/BDM where required with latest QBOM updates
- Support GCM on DWA with regular updated QBOM
- Regular NPI project review with mgmt. team
- Material's readiness
- Provide Risk-Buy proposal based on RYG BOM and demand from EPM, and drive approvals for PVT and MP
- Deliver raw material reservation request to GCM and feedback the status to project
- Drive accountability for successful launch of NPI programs to MP
- Others
- Special support on requirement from customer, examples: Non China / Non Taiwan Analysis, Multisource Analysis, etc.
- Project Support
- Attend weekly project meeting for each project and update the latest project schedule to GCM
- Transfer sample request from project to GCM and follow up it.
- Follow 100% “QL” status for all components in the BOM before MP.
- Analyze risk components and provide risk mitigation proposal to projects
- Drive project to perform BOM cost reduction and second source activities
- Early involve in the project and transfer the latest requirements to GCM. Work as a bridge between project and GCM.
Qualifications:
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, materials sourcing, commodity management or supply chain design/management or other related area.
- Must have an understanding of cost accounting, electronic component markets, price trends and technologies.
- A background in electronics manufacturing and a thorough understanding of Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) product development process.
- To perform the major job responsibilities the use of the following tools may be required: Office Skills: telephones, data entry, office software to include, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation packages, and database systems
