Supply Chain Manager 

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we are looking to add a Supply Chain Solution Manager located in Libertyville, IL.

Reporting to the Director, Supply Chain Management the Supply Chain Solution Manager will oversee directing the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of processes and procedures within the organization related to supply chain management. In charge of managing and overseeing the methods and processes in hold up of both new and existing products. Customer face and strategic. 

What a typical day looks like:

  • One of the key responsibilities is to develop and implement strategic planning processes that optimize production schedules and resource allocation. The Supply Chain Manager will analyze demand forecasts, production capacity, and inventory levels to create balanced plans that align with organizational goals. This involves closely collaborating with production teams, procurement, and logistics to ensure that materials are available in the right quantities and at the right times, facilitating on-time delivery to customers.
  • In the realm of warehousing management, the Supply Chain Manager is responsible for creating and maintaining an efficient warehouse operation that prioritizes safety, accuracy, and productivity. This includes overseeing inventory control processes, ensuring that stock levels are monitored accurately, and implementing best practices for storage and order fulfillment. The manager will analyze warehouse performance metrics and develop initiatives to enhance warehouse productivity while maintaining compliance with safety standards. Key performance indicators (KPIs) will include warehouse safety measures and on-time delivery rates, with the manager taking initiative-taking steps to minimize risks and improve overall performance.
  • To further strengthen warehousing operations, the Supply Chain Manager will implement technology solutions to enhance visibility and tracking throughout the inventory management process. This may involve utilizing warehouse management systems (WMS) to streamline processes, improve accuracy, and reduce lead times. The manager will also prioritize employee training and development, fostering a culture of safety and efficiency within the warehouse team. By continuously evaluating processes and performance metrics, the Supply Chain Manager will drive ongoing improvements, ensuring the manufacturing site not only meets customer expectations but also enhances operational resilience in a dynamic market environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, analytical capabilities, and a strategic mindset, essential for optimizing both planning and warehousing functions in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

The experience we are looking to add to our team:

  • Bachelor's degree and 7 years of related experience in Supply Chain Management
  • Ability to quickly analyze and identify problems and assess the data to make informed decisions.
  • Knowledge of pick to light system
  • Diligent attention to detail to inventory management, order accuracy, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), other technology and the ability to solve problems related to order processing, inventory control, and logistics.
  • Clear and concise communication is vital for coordinating with staff, vendors, and upper management. The ability to convey issues and solutions effectively is critical.
  • Ability to make decisions promptly, especially in high-pressure situations, is essential for managing operations smoothly and efficiently.
  • Must have the adaptability to warehousing environments and can rapidly change due to fluctuations in demand or unexpected challenges.
  • Must possess strong leadership skills to help motivate and guide team members, fostering a positive work environment and ensuring everyone works together towards common goals.
  • Must have a creative approach to problem-solving that can lead to effective solutions that improve processes and outcomes, whether through technology or process optimization.
