Job SummaryResponsibilities:
- Lead the mechanical design and development of precision test fixtures, jigs, enclosures, and cooling modules for server power supply automated test system.
- Collaborate closely with Test System, EE Engineers to ensure mechanical fixtures perfectly integrate with test boards (TIBs), cables, and connectors, optimizing the layout for signal integrity and thermal performance.
- Design effective thermal management solutions, including heat sinks, air flow ducts, and cooling systems, to dissipate heat generated by high-power server supplies during testing.
- Apply Design for Test (DFT) principles to create robust, cost-effective, and maintainable designs. Select appropriate materials (e.g., aluminum, engineering plastics) and manufacturing processes (e.g., CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication).
- Create detailed 3D models, assembly drawings, and part drawings with comprehensive GD&T using CAD software. Generate and manage accurate Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Liaise with external suppliers to provide technical guidance, oversee the test HW manufacturing and assembly process, and ensure the final product meets all design specifications.
- Support production test lines by troubleshooting mechanical issues with fixtures and driving continuous improvements to enhance test efficiency, operator safety, and usability.
- Take part in the Pre-Development project for new technology evaluation and deployment.
- Training technicians and test station operator
- Supporting new project overseas transfer support
- Supporting new project quotation and test equipment evaluation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in precision mechanical design, preferably in test fixtures, automation equipment, or related fields.
- High proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Siemens NX, PTC Creo) for complex assembly and detailed part modeling/drafting.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and ability to perform tolerance stack-up analysis.
- Solid understanding of materials properties (metals, plastics) and manufacturing processes (machining, sheet metal, surface treatment).
- Solid knowledge and experience in designing automated systems, including pneumatic, PLC, and electrical systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address structural, vibration, and thermal challenges.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (electrical, software) and external suppliers.
- Flexibility, enthusiasm, creativity, and a proactive approach to tasks.
- Fluency in English, including speaking, comprehension, and writing skills.
- Experience in global collaboration is an advantage.
- Familiar with high-power PSU/BBU/Power Shelf/Rack testing process is an advantage.
