We are seeking a Campus Lead, Post-Secondary Counselor to support students and families at Fusion Austin while collaborating with our virtual PSC team nationwide. In this role, you will guide students through post-secondary planning via 1:1 teaching, individualized counseling, family consultations, and college-focused events. This position reports to the National Post-Secondary Counseling Manager.
What You'll Do:
In this role, your day-to-day will include:
- Teaching 1:1 post-secondary courses via Zoom using Canvas curriculum
- Providing personalized 1:1 college counseling sessions and leading family consultations
- Planning and hosting virtual and occasional in-person college-related events
- Guiding students across pathways: 4-year colleges, community colleges, trade/vocational programs, gap year, military, or direct-to-career
- Using tools like SCOIR and YouScience to align student strengths with future goals
- Reviewing transcripts and building strategic, individualized post-secondary plans
- Supporting college-bound students through the full admissions process—from applications to essays to final submission
- Coaching career-bound students in resumes, interviewing, and professional readiness
- Collaborating closely with families, campus staff, and Fusion's remote PSC team
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred
- 3+ years of experience in college counseling, admissions, or college/career readiness
- Texas-based residency required, with working knowledge of Texas college application systems and the Common Application (e.g., ApplyTexas)
- Strong understanding of both traditional and alternative post-secondary pathways
- Proven ability to manage multiple students and timelines with strong attention to detail
- High level of comfort and efficiency with systems, including Salesforce, Canvas, SCOIR, and Microsoft Office/Teams
- Experience supporting diverse learners and neurodivergent students
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust in a virtual environment
- A proactive, collaborative, and student-centered mindset
Role Details:
- Remote role supporting Fusion Academy Austin students, families, and staff
- Must reside in Texas
- Hourly position: $34–$40/hour, based on experience
- Monday–Friday availability required, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM Central Time
- Travel to the Fusion Austin campus 3–4 times per year required
- Support students across Fusion's national network as needed.

Pay Range
USD $34.00 - USD $40.00 /Hr.
