Description
The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for ensuring execution of the daily operations of the inventory control process. This position Supervises, directs and organizes the dispatch and intake of the stock of the business and conducts all relating administration activities. Inventory Control Supervisor is also accountable for overseeing the functions performed by inventory associates assigned to them, as well as by developing project priorities and assess strengths and weaknesses of processes and resources.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop inventory strategies to design and implement the inventory control process to safeguard against inventory shrinkage and overall accuracy of the facility's inventory
- Establish the proper structure of the department by selecting and interviewing new inventory control associates to assist with the daily operations
- Carry out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
- Assigns, directs, and monitors the daily cycle counting operations for counting, verifying, correcting and documenting the movement of all products into and out of the distribution center inventory, to provide the best available inventory information
- Prepares analysis of adjustments activities report
- Ensure that adequate controls are in place to monitor inventory / shrink trends identifying opportunities and implementing the necessary changes(s) in a continuous effort to increase inventory accuracy and reduce shrink
- Interact efficiently and effectively with stores or other departments as needed to resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner
- Ensure that the Operations team is provided with accurate, timely and relevant financial reporting and key performance indicators and additional assistance as needed
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements
Job Qualifications – Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years' experience in related field with supervisory experience
- Strong interpersonal skills, leadership, ability to problem solve, resolve conflict
- MS Office knowledge (focus on MS Excel)
- Knowledge of Oracle and Warehouse Management Systems preferred
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
- Knowledge of 5S, Kanban, and Kaizen concepts and tools (certifications preferred)
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to next level management, public groups, and/or peers in Operations.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Physical Requirements
General office environment requiring ability to:
- stand, walk, sit for extended periods of time
- speak and listen to others in person and over the phone
- use keyboard and read from computer screen and reports
- lift-up to 50 lbs.
The candidate must be able to perform this job safely in accordance with standard operating procedures and good manufacturing practices, without endangering the health or safety of self or others.
The anticipated salary range for this position is $67,100 - $77,165 depending on location, knowledge, skills, education and experience. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In
addition, we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits to Associates (and their families) such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability. Eligible Associates are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan. Associates will accrue paid time off up to 200 hours per year (inclusive of PTO, floating holidays, and paid holidays). Paid sick time up to 80 hours per year unless otherwise required by law.
