Hawthorn Senior Living is a rapidly expanding senior housing company that manages independent living communities across the United States. We are currently seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Financial Analyst to join our team at our Vancouver, WA home office.
This is a newly created, in-person position (not hybrid or remote) offering the opportunity to play a key role in shaping financial strategy, supporting company growth, and driving data-informed decision-making across our national portfolio.
About Our Opportunity:
The Senior Financial Analyst reports to the Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis and provides direct support to the leadership team at Hawthorn. The Senior Financial Analyst's primary objective is to drive reporting, planning, financial analysis, & forecasting to assist the organization's long-term strategy, revenue growth, and profitability. The development and tracking of key performance indicators will be critical to enhance the understanding of the business and to improve decision making. In addition, the individual will collaborate with multiple stakeholders & departments to support the success of Hawthorn Senior Living.

Key Job Functions:
- Build, maintain, and own weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports.
- Collect, analyze, evaluate and report data to help improve the organization's decision-making process.
- Conduct yearly, quarterly, and as needed forecasts.
- Analyze internal and external trends and provide recommendations based on those assessments.
- Develop ROI models to evaluate the performance of Sales, Marketing, and Operational initiatives.
- Analyze labor, CAPEX, and other expenses/KPIs to support Hawthorn's growth.
- Lead finance projects from inception to conclusion.
- Conduct Ad hoc analysis for Sales, Pricing, Marketing, and Operational functions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent. MBA or CPA Preferred.
- 3-5 years' minimum work experience in finance or analytics roles.
- Excellent business/financial acumen, reporting, analytical and modeling skills.
- Proven ability to manipulate & analyze raw data, handle structured & unstructured problems, build story decks and provide recommendation to senior management.
- Ownership mentality.
- Highly organized, able to effectively and efficiently complete tasks on time with minimal supervision.
- High emotional intelligence, effective influencer and communicator.
- Advanced to expert level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Power Point.
- Strong cross functional collaboration skills with the ability to communicate complex information to senior leadership.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
- Proven ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines.
