Job Summary ***This is a hybrid opportunity that will work from the office 3 days a week. Must live in a commutable distance to the Richardson, TX or Houston, TX offices.***

This position is responsible for creating reports, insights and analytics in support of the division; creating specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs; possibly providing consultation to users and working on cross functional teams to address the divisions issues; producing datasets and reports for analysis using system reporting tools; possibly performing research and assisting in analyzing data related to the division's strategic initiatives and broader research needs; interfacing between the business and divisional data teams to generate tools to be leveraged in building analysis and reports which are actionable within the business environment; working closely with customers to build relationships; and continuously gaining a deeper understanding of the division's data in order to meet business needs; analyzing complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers; identifying and interpreting trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor Degree OR 2 years' experience in data analysis and information reporting data.
  • Build knowledge of division, business processes and customers.
  • Assist in solving a range of problems.
  • Assist with possible solutions using standard procedures to solve routine or basic problems.
  • Assist in producing data sets and reports for analysis using SQL, Excel or other reporting tools.
  • Verify accuracy of reports and provide insights with guidance. 
  • Use best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services.
  • Learn needed skills by performing assigned work.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Healthcare and/or managed care insurance experience.
  • Experience leading/providing guidance to intra and interdepartmental staff.
  • Clear and concise interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Facilitation, presentation, and analytical skills
  • Knowledge in relational databases, Power BI, or SQL, preferred.
  • Intermediate understanding of applied analytics
  • Practical application analytical and planning skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills are strongly preferred.
  • Being detail-oriented and capable of delivering a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to adapt to change quickly. 
  • Critical thinking and decision making
  • Create and maintain databases to track adequacy and network performance.
