Hobby Lobby has an outstanding opportunity for a Project Manager located at its corporate headquarters in Oklahoma City, OK.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, oversight and direction to assigned projects
- Work directly with Hobby Lobby business units to perform functional needs assessment and requirements gathering. Build associated process flows and requirements documentation.
- Prepare project plan including timeline, and resources
- Manage project to plan and control project scope
- Identify project risks and mitigation strategies
- Track and communicate progress to stakeholders
- Manage and coordinate project efforts of the Hobby Lobby Business Unit and Technology teams – Infrastructure, Network, Database, Development, Cyber Security, Technical Support
- Coordinate project team and end-user training requirements, materials development and training
- Perform requirements gathering and quality assurance as needed
- Critically review and evaluate project deliverables
- Track and ensure resolution of issues
- Develop system support documentation and provide/coordinate ongoing support
- Third Party Software
- Coordinate software package selection activities with the business unit and vendor candidates
- Participate in vendor contract analysis and negotiations
- Co-Manage On-Premise or SaaS implementation efforts with the Vendor PM
- Schedule and coordinate upgrades and service packs with vendors and Hobby Lobby business units
- Develop and manage vendor relationships
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Organized with attention to detail
- Excellent analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of project management principles, concepts and practices
- Knowledge of key Software Development, Quality Assurance, Security, Implementation and Support best practices
- Knowledge of On-Premise Vs. SaaS software concepts or able to quickly become proficient with, a general and specialized applications, software, and hardware used in the organization
- Ability to resolve conflicting and high priority requirements
- Ability to motivate groups of people to complete a project in a timely manner
- Competence in IT, particularly in standard project management tools like MS Project, Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of Agile methodology, and able to serve as a Scrum Master, facilitate scrum meetings, and lead sprint planning/demo/retrospective meetings effectively
- Knowledge of project collaboration tools and best practices
- Associates / Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or 5-7 years related work experience
