Ready to grow your career and design world-class sports and entertainment venues?   HOK is hiring a Sr Design Professional in our Kansas City office to join our Sports + Recreation + Entertainment team. In this role, you will collaborate on innovative projects that inspire fans, energize communities and shape how people experience sports and recreation. You will help coordinate and deliver design projects, contributing both independently and as part of a collaborative project team. This position requires strong design and technical skills, independent decision-making, and the ability to mentor and lead others.    Responsibilities Collaborate with project architects and project managers to develop and modify architectural documents, ensuring design intent is carried through drawings, elevations, sections, and details. Produce and review drawings and presentations (2D, 3D, and physical models) to support client and project team reviews. Translate design intent into accurate, high-quality technical documents. Mentor junior staff, providing guidance on design and technical solutions; may supervise small project teams. Coordinate project information with clients, consultants, and contractors. Support team leaders in ensuring documentation across all phases meets HOK Best Practice Standards and QA/QC requirements. Conduct product and code research; integrate findings into project documents. Participate in project planning, scheduling, and construction administration support. Manage project data, ensure proper documentation standards, and maintain archives. Contribute to sustainable design by integrating green practices and supporting HOK's commitment to environmental responsibility. Foster strong communication within project teams and with external partners. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in architecture required. 3+ years of professional experience in architectural design or equivalent combination of education/experience. Sports + Recreation + Entertainment projects experience strongly preferred. LEED accreditation or Green Associate preferred.
