HOK is seeking a Sr Interior Design Professional to join our Kansas City studio. In this role, you will lead and contribute to the design development, production, and delivery of innovative projects as part of a collaborative design team or as the lead on your own assignments. This position requires strong design expertise, independent decision-making, and the ability to mentor and supervise team members while delivering exceptional client service and design excellence. RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and modify architectural and interior design documents, including plans, elevations, sections, details, and technical drawings that accurately reflect design intent. Prepare compelling design presentations, 2D and 3D renderings, and presentation materials for client and project team reviews. Translate conceptual designs into coordinated, high-quality construction documents. Collaborate with project architects, project managers, consultants, contractors, and internal team members throughout all phases of a project. Lead or mentor junior design professionals, providing technical guidance and supporting their professional development. Ensure project documentation meets HOK Best Practice Standards and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) requirements. Conduct product, material, and building code research, incorporating findings into project documentation. Participate in project planning, scheduling, and construction administration activities as needed. Maintain project documentation, electronic files, and drawing standards throughout the project lifecycle. Support project team communication and coordination to ensure successful project delivery. Integrate sustainable design principles into projects and promote environmentally responsible workplace practices. Foster a high level of client service while building strong relationships with clients, consultants, and project partners. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in architecture required. 3 plus years' experience; or equivalent in appropriate education and experience required. Experience with Sports, Recreation and Entertainment projects helpful. LEED accreditation or Green Associate preferred. #LI-CN1
