JOB SUMMARY:## Daily coordination of the intake and response to the Corporate Compliance Complaint Line to meet the regulatory requirements. To support the department#s needs for Infection Control, Quality/Accreditation, and Corporate Compliance/ Risk Management. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: On a daily basis, coordinate the Patient Complaint/Concern Program, by answering the complaint line promptly and/or returning voicemails, forward reported concerns to the appropriate responder, record data, follow-up with responder as needed, and notify the Director of Corporate Compliance/ Risk Management of response completion, in an effort to promote timely closure to meet both policy and regulatory guidelines. Maintain the Patient complaint/concern spreadsheet for use during accreditation visits. Notify the Chief Quality Officer and the Director of Corporate Compliance/Risk Management of any concerns that may be the source of potential legal action. To provide administrative and secretarial support for Quality Improvement, #Infection Control, Patient Safety and Accreditation, and Corporate Compliance /Risk Management Departments, as directed or assigned. To report incidents/occurrences/claims and ensure appropriate follow up of actual and potential claims reported to professional liability carrier and excess carrier, as necessary, and report the same to the Chief Quality Officer and the Director of Corporate Compliance /Risk Management, that may be the source of potential legal action. To assist in the collection, review, and overseeing of data entry and follow up on Risk Management/Infection Control. To coordinate daily workers# compensation claims activity, such as personal contact with employees, physicians, and various hospital departments and assist the Chief Quality Officer and the Director of Corporate Compliance /Risk Management in the coordination of the Workers# Compensation Program and arrange meetings to review/discuss a variety of issues. Maintain the HMC OSHA log and submit it annually to the Board of Labor Statistics and OSHA websites QUALIFICATIONS/JOB REQUISITES: Education: High school graduate with emphasis on secretarial sciences Experience: Three years of secretarial experience, preferably in a similar environment; computer literacy required
