Holyoke Medical Center is an independent community hospital that has served the healthcare needs of the Pioneer Valley for over 125 years.# We continue to grow and address the needs of our community through quality and patient centered care.# Our General Surgeons Physician Practice is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to perform both Medical Assistant and Office Assistant duties within the practice. Duties include, but are not limited to, escorting patient into the clinical area, taking vital signs and documenting them in the patient record; obtaining history of the current visit and documenting information in the patient#s record and performing Office Assistant duties as needed. REQUIREMENTS:# Successful completion of a Medical Assistant program with ABHES or CAAHEP accreditation; must be registered/certified within six months of hire with one of the following: RMA/AMT, CMA/AAMA, or CCMA/NHA; ability#to read, write and communicate in English; two years of general experience as a medical assistant in a patient care or clinic environment preferred; bilingual in English/Spanish preferred Our competitive salary package is adjusted to align with a candidate#s relevant experience and skills.
