Holyoke Medical Center is a 219-bed independent community hospital that has served the healthcare needs of the Pioneer Valley for over 125 years.# We continue to grow and address the needs of our community through quality and patient-centered care.# Our Education team is seeking an experienced Critical Care Nurse to join our organization as a Critical Care Nurse Educator. This individual will become an integral member of a collaborative education team that supports educational initiatives across the Health System. The primary focus of this role will be the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and float pool. The Critical Care Nurse Educator serves as a clinical expert and educational leader, providing mentorship, education, and professional development to nurses and members of the multidisciplinary critical care team. This role is responsible for promoting evidence-based practice, advancing clinical excellence, and ensuring staff are equipped to provide the highest quality care to critically ill patients. Key responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and delivering orientation, ongoing education, competency assessment, and staff development programs. The educator will also serve as a clinical resource to nursing leadership and frontline staff by supporting policy and procedure development, performance improvement initiatives, peer review activities, product evaluation and education, and interdisciplinary patient care processes, including participation in multidisciplinary rounds. The Critical Care Nurse Educator reports directly to the Director of the Center for Learning and Organizational Development and works in close collaboration with the Director of Critical Care#to establish departmental goals, educational priorities, and quality improvement initiatives. Qualifications Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree required or matriculated# Minimum of five (3-5) years of #critical care nursing experience required. Current or eligible for Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification strongly preferred. Demonstrated expertise in the assessment, management, and treatment of critically ill patients, including conditions such as sepsis, heart failure, stroke, respiratory failure, and other complex critical care diagnoses. Strong leadership, communication, collaboration, and teaching skills, with a commitment to fostering evidence-based practice and continuous professional development.
