Description

The Systems Integration Technician is an integral player to our technical team. They perform system fabrication and installation both in-house and on-site based on engineering drawings and by applying knowledge and understanding of signal flow, cable types, terminations, networks, and rack fabrication.  Candidates should be experienced with different cable and connector types as well as solder, crimp & compression fittings. Overnight and extended travel can be required but is rare.

  • Fabrication, rack preparation, and systems integration for assigned projects
  • Interpret system drawings and understand signal flow
  • Prepare all tools and materials prior to a project. Replace all returned tools and materials to the proper location upon project completion
  • Perform cable pulls between destinations through ceilings, floors, walls and conduit
  • Mounting and properly supporting A/V, IT & broadcast equipment including, but not limited to: switches, patch panels, displays (projectors, flat screens, etc.), cameras, speakers, microphones, etc.
  • Coordinate installation efforts per both a Project Supervisor and Project Manager's direction
  • Maintain an organized work area that complies with safety and OSHA regulations both in-house and on-site
  • Must uphold Human Circuit standards for: cable termination, rack dressing, equipment mounting and system testing
  • Must be able to comply with Human Circuit's regularly scheduled workweek
  • Uphold a courteous, professional attitude towards clients and other employees
  • Maintain a clean professional appearance as a representative of Human Circuit
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Basic understanding of systems components, structured cabling, fiber optics and audio/video signal flow
  • Must have the ability to read plans, room & equipment layout via CAD
  • Must have the ability to understand line diagrams, rack elevations, cable run lists and room layouts
  • Must be able to lift heavy equipment up to and at times exceeding 50 lbs. and work in varied conditions
  • Must be able to climb ladders, scaffolding
  • Must be able to operate a power lift
  • Must be comfortable with the use of power tools
  • Must be able to conform to OSHA requirements
  • Ability to understand quality performance with a strong attention to detail
  • Time management as well as organizational skills; ability to perform within tight deadlines
  • Must have flexible schedule and be able to work overtime and/or travel out of town as needed per project with limited notice
  • Valid driver's license with reliable personal transportation if required
  • Must be able to pass a background screening
  • Have a positive outlook with a strong sense of motivation and curiosity
  • Minimum of one year of experience in the integration field
  • Soldering skills and experience preferred
