Description of the Position:
Operates gasoline-, liquefied gas-, or electric-powered industrial equipment equipped with lifting devices, such as sit-down, stand-up, clamp or other elevating equipment to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials in distribution center or storage yard.
Responsibilities:
- Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using powered industrial equipment. Maintain equipment and materials in a neat, clean and orderly fashion.
- On a daily basis, inspect assigned equipment.
- Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods and OSHA standards.
- Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations.
- Efficiently stack and store product in the appropriate areas.
- Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring the exact number and types of products are loaded and shipped.
- Efficiently move product from staging and/or storage areas into rail cars, trailers, or containers.
- Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Report quality variances.
- Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee that tight inventory control and security are maintained. Assist in physical inventories. Ensure proper stock rotation.
- Follow customer requirements and/or other instructions to ensure accuracy: load count, stability of product, and that all products are loaded and unloaded safely.
- Coordinate as necessary with all other departments/functions, especially Customer Service, Transportation and Maintenance.
- Perform good housekeeping practices, clean as you go process.
- Conduct operations and equipment in a manner that promotes safety and report unsafe conditions that can’t be self-corrected to the leadership team. Follow Kane corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed.
- Observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate.

Schedule: Sat-Mon 6am-6:30pm
Pay Rate: $20.50hr +$1.50 Weekend Incentive
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, or GED.
- Reach Forklift Operator experience, 2-year minimum.
- Ability to lift and move 50+ lbs.
- 1 year of experience in a warehousing/distribution environment.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, extend, reach, and twist for long periods of time.
- Follow all standards of PPE in the distribution center: for example, wearing steel toed shoes, safety glasses, safety vest or any other standards provided by site leadership.
