We are currently seeking a Director of Accounting to join our dynamic team. This individual will play a key role in leading critical accounting operations, driving compliance, and supporting strategic financial decision-making across the business. As the Director of Accounting, you will lead a team of talented professionals, managing vital processes including accounts payable, billing and cash collections, lease accounting, and fixed asset management. Work Location: This is a hybrid role from our Scranton, PA office. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm Compensation/Benefits: Attractive annual salary of $130,00-$140,000 plus bonus with benefits including PTO, sick time, corporate holidays, medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and more. What You'll Do: * Lead day-to-day operations across accounts payable, billing, cash collections, lease accounting, and fixed asset management. * Develop, implement, and monitor accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls ensuring compliance with GAAS, IFRS, and company policies. * Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements. * Oversee sales and use tax reporting and compliance. * Partner with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure successful audits and compliance. * Guide and oversee lease accounting in accordance with IFRS 16 standards. * Maintain fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, and capitalization policies. * Collaborate with IT and Finance teams to maximize SAP ERP functionality. * Monitor billing and cash collections activities to optimize working capital. * Mentor and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence. Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. * 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong focus on accounts payable, billing and cash collection, lease accounting, and fixed asset management. * Solid understanding of GAAS and IFRS standards. * Direct experience with lease accounting standards, specifically IFRS 16. * Experience managing and leading accounting teams. * Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and present findings clearly. * Proficiency with SAP ERP systems, including optimizing accounting processes within SAP ERP. * Prior experience coordinating external audits and managing sales/use tax compliance. * Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment. * Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
