Description

The Production Coordinator, Lead is responsible for ensuring all materials, inventory, staffing readiness, and logistical requirements are in place for the assigned shift to meet operational and production standards. This role leads the Production Coordinator and SAP teams, coordinates closely with Copack administrative staff, SAP administrators, scheduling, supervisors, IT, customers, and management, and helps maintain accurate inventory reconciliation between WMS and SAP while supporting safe, compliant, and efficient day-to-day operations.


 


Responsibilities:



  • Ensure all materials and logistical needs for the assigned shift are met to achieve operational and production standards.

  • Ensure oncoming shift donors are in place and lines are properly set up for operation.

  • Communicate with Copack administrative staff, production coordinators, SAP administrators, and Packaging and Shift Supervisors to identify, communicate, and align with shift needs.

  • Provide leadership and direction to the Production Coordinator Team and SAP Team.

  • Analyze and correct variances in WMS and SAP counts.

  • Work with management, IT, and the customer to identify and eliminate inventory variances found through cycle counting.

  • Perform cycle counts of finished product in WMS and SAP and reconcile inventory between systems.

  • Serve as SAP Superuser, with primary responsibility for WMS-to-SAP inventory reconciliation and related system support.

  • Create and implement new procedures and forms to improve job functions and operational efficiency.

  • Review the Copack production schedule to manage daily activity and assist the Scheduling Manager with needs to produce and maintain a productive schedule.

  • Provide work assignments to Production Coordinator and SAP team members.

  • Interact heavily with the customer contact on all day-to-day operations and partner with the customer on donor issues and donor needs.

  • Document performance issues as needed and report them to the management team.

  • Follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and report noncompliance when observed.

  • Observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday


 


Compensation: $22.50/hour



Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • At least 1 year of experience leading team activities or directly supervising others.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide without a calculator.
  • Preferred 2+ years of WMS/SAP experience.
  • Must possess SAP Superuser knowledge and be skilled in SAP inventory reconciliation.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work comfortably with upper management and customer contacts.
  • Ability to train new personnel on basic tasks and standard operating procedures.
