Position Overview: The 2nd Shift Operations Supervisor plays a key role in managing their team's workflow by assigning tasks, supporting staff, monitoring results, and reporting to senior management. They ensure efficiency by improving processes, setting team targets, and acting as a link between employees and upper management. Supervisors are also responsible for coaching and resolving issues. Work Location: This is an on-site role with no opportunity for remote or hybrid work arrangements. Work Schedule: This is a 2nd shift position that requires schedule flexibility. The work schedule is Monday-Friday from 3pm-11:30pm and does require some coverage of hours before or after the shift ends and weekends on an as needed and rotating basis. Key Responsibilities: * Operational Management: * Follows established operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling, and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current. * Develop schedules, assign tasks, and monitor work to ensure productivity and efficiency. * Manage operational budgets and meet customer requirements. * Training & Compliance: * Ensure staff complete necessary training (e.g., OSHA compliance). * Maintain records for audits (OSHA, customer, and others). * Customer Satisfaction: * Understand customer expectations to meet or exceed satisfaction levels. * Address and resolve customer complaints, both verbal and written. * Team Leadership: * Set performance goals and deadlines aligned with company plans. * Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching. * Maintain timekeeping records and manage payroll inputs for hourly staff. * Handle disciplinary actions when needed, adhering to company policies. * Safety & Compliance: * Enforce company safety standards and report non-compliance. * Manage workplace accidents, including reporting, investigations, and injury management. * Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following legal regulations. * Follow ID Logistics corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed. Minimum Requirements: * High School Diploma or GED; BS/BA in Logistics/Supply Chain, general business relevant field is preferred; or equivalent combination of experience and education. * 3+ years proven experience as a people supervisor or relevant role in a distribution, 3PL, or warehouse environment. * Experience with 5S and continuous improvement programs. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Strong knowledge of MS Office and WMS software. Preferred Qualifications: * Distribution and or warehousing industry experience is strongly preferred. * Experience with time keeping; ADP E-time is a plus.
