Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will design, implement, manage, and maintain our organization’s network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and optimal performance. This role involves troubleshooting complex network issues, leading IT projects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align network strategies with business goals. Work Location: This role is an on-site role with the opportunity to be hybrid. The physical site location is in Scranton, PA. Work Schedule: First Shift - Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm Work Travel: 20% domestic travel Responsibilities: Network Design and Management: * Plan, design, and implement scalable network solutions to support business needs. * Manage and maintain network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. * Configure and optimize network performance and reliability. Monitoring and Troubleshooting: * Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity issues promptly. * Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software problems related to the network infrastructure. * Perform root cause analysis to prevent recurring issues. Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems. * Ensure compliance with industry standards and organizational policies. * Participate in regular security audits and vulnerability assessments. Documentation and Reporting: * Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, processes, and procedures. * Prepare reports on network performance, incidents, and project progress. Leadership and Collaboration: * Mentor and guide junior IT staff. * Collaborate with IT and business teams to support organizational goals and projects. * Manage vendor relationships and evaluate network-related tools and technologies.
