Position Summary:
The Safety Training Manager is responsible for delivering comprehensive training programs focused on safety, compliance, and equipment operation. This includes leading orientation sessions, conducting OSHA-related and forklift/MHE training, and supporting the administration of the company’s training management system. The ideal candidate will help onboard new associates with both technical skills and safety awareness, while actively promoting a culture of continuous learning and compliance. This role may require travel to support remote facilities and consistent adherence to company-wide safety and GMP standards.
Work Location: This is an on-site role. Relocation assistance is not offered for this role
Work Schedule: The work schedule for this position is a 1st shift Monday-Friday role that will require occasional availability before and after scheduled shifts for any emergencies or operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Safety and Operations New Hire Orientation programs at the site level
- Conduct and certify forklift/MHE training for new hires and current associates
- Train and certify site-level MHE trainers as needed
- Operational and site process training for new hires
- Support remote facilities by traveling to provide on-site training and evaluations as needed
- Oversee new hire integration through follow-up discussions, coaching, and progress evaluation
- Administer the training management system, including data recording, auditing, and reporting
- Assist in the development and rollout of new training materials, tools, and programs
- Observe and provide feedback to new hires to ensure effective acclimation to safety protocols and MHE operation
- Conduct periodic site visits to audit forklift practices and promote safe behavior
- Deliver refresher or remedial training as necessary to maintain compliance and performance standards
- Enforce and monitor adherence to all company safety policies and GMP standards
Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational safety goals

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years of progressive safety leadership experience in high-volume distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or fulfillment environments
- Proven experience leading safety across multiple sites or regions
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance standards
- Demonstrated success building and scaling safety programs in fast-paced, high-growth environments
- Experience supporting site start-ups or new facility launches preferred
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and drive corrective actions
- Proven ability to influence and partner with senior operations and cross-functional leadership
- Experience leading incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both frontline teams and executive leadership
- Experience with workers' compensation, return-to-work programs, and case management
- Proficiency in safety reporting systems and data analysis tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or equivalent certification
- Experience in high-growth or rapidly scaling environments
- Background in ergonomics, injury prevention, and behavioral-based safety programs
- Experience in operations with 500+ employee populations
