The Warehouse Training Manager is responsible for developing, coordinating, and executing training programs across multiple warehouses and/or manufacturing sites, with a primary focus on Elwood, IL and Kennesaw, GA. This role ensures consistent onboarding, skill development, and compliance training for all associates while actively supporting safety initiatives in an industrial operations setting. The manager will collaborate closely with operations, HR, and safety teams to uphold company standards and foster a culture of continuous improvement and safety awareness. This position requires 60–70% travel between sites and occasional support for new site start-ups.
Work Locations: This is an on-site role in Kennesaw, GA OR Elwood, IL. Our selected candidate must live in one of these locations.
Travel: 60-70% across multiple sites (Kennesaw and Elwood) as well as availability to travel to any site within our network for training opportunities and exposure to new site start-ups.
Work Schedule: Must be able to work a flexible schedule, days or evenings and take calls during off hours as the business needs
Compensation/Benefits: Attractive annual salary of $90,000-$120,000 plus bonus with benefits including PTO, sick time, corporate holidays, medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and more
Key Responsibilities:
Training and Development:
- Design, implement, and manage standardized training programs tailored to warehouse and manufacturing operations.
- Conduct training needs assessments aligned with operational and production goals.
- Facilitate onboarding, job-specific, equipment-based, and leadership training for hourly associates and frontline leaders.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and implement continuous improvements based on feedback and performance data.
- Maintain accurate training records and ensure compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
- Oversee the execution of training and safety action items on new processes or equipment installed at locations
- Other duties as assigned
Safety Oversight:
- Partner with site safety teams to reinforce compliance with safety policies and OSHA standards.
- Conduct safety training such as forklift certification, lockout/tagout, PPE use, and emergency preparedness.
- Participate in safety audits, various committees, incident investigations, and risk assessments.
- Drive a safety-first culture through awareness campaigns and consistent training reinforcement.
Leadership and Collaboration:
- Act as a liaison between site leadership, HR, and the corporate training team.
- Lead and mentor site safety and training management and trainers, ensuring consistent training delivery and alignment with company standards.
- Provide regular reporting on training metrics, compliance status, and improvement initiatives.
- Support start-ups, expansions, and transitions across the network as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred); an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 3+ years of experience in training and development in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment industry is required.
- 1+ years of direct leadership experience with responsibility for mentoring and employee performance.
- Solid understanding of OSHA regulations, safety compliance, and industrial training requirements.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and organizational skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel 60–70% between Elwood, Kennesaw, and other locations as needed.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Preferred Qualifications:
- OSHA 10/30 certification or proven experience delivering safety training such as forklift certification, lockout/tagout, and emergency preparedness in an industrial setting.
