Description

Ingram Content Group (ICG)is hiring for a VP, Fulfillment Systems to contribute to our IT team in LaVergne, TN, just outside the Nashville area. This person provides a strategic leadership and oversight to ensure the efficient functioning of company fulfillment processes, logistics, and supply chain systems within the company.  The VP partners with key organizational leaders such that they can set and execute against key platform roadmaps while ensuring ongoing organizational alignment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 10 years' leadership experience as a Director or Vice President level leading and motivating a team of developers, analysts and systems administrators
  • 10 years' experience in fulfillment, distribution, warehousing, and logistics
  • 8 years' experience in an enterprise environment with multi-site responsibility
  • 8 years' experience with object-oriented programming languages such as .Net, or Java
  • 5 years' experience or understanding of COBOL programming language
  • 5 years' experience with mainframe environments, including DB2, VSAM, and other associated technologies

Key Responsibilities:

  • Defines and implements the technical strategy and architectural vision for fulfillment systems that aligns with business goals
  • Create a long-term vision for legacy system modernization and enhancement
  • Assess the value of investing in legacy system upgrades versus replacement and recommend appropriate actions
  • Plan gradual migration to newer technologies while minimizing disruption to business and teams
  • Continuously improve fulfillment processes, efficiency enhancements, and cost controls
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration with other departments to ensure seamless integration of fulfillment systems
  • Plans and leads development of new software and/or product enhancements
  • Evaluates technical feasibility, design optimization and production issues
  • Navigate organizational changes related to legacy systems, including personnel, ensuring smooth transitions
  • Works to resolve issues articulated by management or other teams and ensure the resulting solution meets the organizations standards of quality and performance.
  • Leads the development of software plans and schedules ensuring on-time delivery of all scheduled milestones and requirements.
  • Directs the analysis and preparation of systems feasibility studies, design of new systems and programs, and revision of existing systems and programs.
  • Leads the development of systems design standards and quality control standards for engineers.
  • Remains current on changes regarding software technology.
  • Develop, budget, and execute comprehensive roadmaps assigned to application/software teams.
  • Interfaces regularly with key customers to develop a deep understanding of customer needs – both articulated and unarticulated
  • Works with external third parties to assess partnership opportunities and external requirements.
  • Conduct compliance audits to ensure adherence to standard operations procedures across fulfillment centers.
