**Key Responsibilities:**
- Administer prescribed medications to residents/patients in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Monitor and document patient responses to medications and report any adverse reactions or concerns to nursing staff promptly.
- Maintain up-to-date, accurate medication records for each resident/patient, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and protocols.
- Assist in organizing and managing medication inventories, including ordering and restocking supplies as necessary.
- Support the nursing team in the implementation of individual care plans and participate in patient care conferences as needed.
- Educate residents/patients and their families about medications, potential side effects, and adherence to treatment regimens.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and continuing education opportunities.

**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medication Technician training program preferred.
- Certification as a Medication Technician or equivalent credential in accordance with state regulations.
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in long-term care, assisted living, or home health.
- Strong knowledge of medications, their uses, and potential side effects.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, and team members.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach with a strong commitment to quality care.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) is a plus.
