**Job Title: Medication Technician (PM)**

**Location:** Kiley Ranch Senior Living

**Position Type:** [Part-Time]

**Shift Schedule: W, F, Sat - 2p.m. to 10p.m.

**Pay Rate: $19

We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medication Technician to join our team.

**Job Summary:**
The Medication Technician (PM) is responsible for assisting residents with medications while ensuring their safety and well-being. This role involves preparing and administering medications as per physician orders, monitoring residents' health status, and maintaining accurate documentation. The Medication Technician will work closely with nursing staff, healthcare providers, and other team members to deliver high-quality care.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- **Medication Management:**
- Prepare and administer medications to residents according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Monitor residents for potential side effects and adverse reactions to medications, reporting any concerns to nursing staff promptly.

- **Documentation:**
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of medication administration, including dosage and time given for each resident.
- Ensure that all documentation complies with regulatory standards and company policies.

- **Communication:**
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members regarding medication-related concerns and changes in residents' conditions.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss residents' health and medication needs.

- **Safety and Compliance:**
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols while handling medications and assisting residents.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with medication administration practices and regulations.

- **Resident Support:**
- Assist residents with daily living activities as needed, fostering autonomy and dignity.
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to residents, ensuring their comfort and well-being.

**Qualifications:**

- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medication Technician training program preferred.
- Current state certification as a Medication Technician or similar role.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in medication administration, is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of pharmacology, medication interactions, and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

**Physical Requirements:**

- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Capability to lift or assist residents as needed, not exceeding [insert weight limit if applicable].
- Must have manual dexterity for medication preparation and administration.
