Your impact

You will be part of a team who monitor satellite programs, interfacing directly with the satellite manufacturer and representing Intelsat at the manufacturer's facility.  You will be responsible for the ground software program monitoring and the coordination with Intelsat operation and software teams in order to advance the ground software component of Intelsat's Next Generation Software Defined Network. You will apply your technical skills in software development to help internal and external software teams to develop the ground software needed to configure, operate and monitor the Payload of Software Defined Satellites. 

What you will do 

  • Follow Ground software and deliverable development and ensure they follow overall schedule and complies with technical Exhibits.
  • Support Space-Ground interface development, test and requirement verification.
  • Coordinate with other Intelsat groups as required for performing the primary function of the position.
  • Participate in all satellite design review, test campaign and data review.
  • Active support in Data models definition, API definitions.
  • Coordination of technical workshops with Satellite manufacturer ground software team and Intelsat Software development team.
  • Contribute to API definition and API testing using Postman.
  • End-to-End consistency analysis between Flight Operational Procedures and Ground SW generated parameters.

Your required experience/skills  

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of recent, relevant work experience.
  • Expert knowledge in project/program management, including schedule, risk management.
  • Proficiency in Postman, API, SW architecture, CRUD operations, Micro service, Kubernetes, Data base.
  • Proficiency in microservices and Agile development methodology.

Your success in this role will look like: 

  • The ability to work independently as part of a field office involved with continuous interface with customers, contractors and subcontractors.
  • Excellent verbal and written command of the English language
  • Skills to develop and maintain trusting and collaborative technical relationships with manufacturer and Intelsat teams. 
  • Proven ability to work in a cross-functional team environment and retain a positive attitude in a complex development program.

It would be nice if you had: 

  • Knowledge of satellite design, machine to machine communication, network communications, or other complex systems is a plus.
  • Experience in working with contractor or vendor management.
